Steve

Privacy policy

Updated 30 October 2026

Steve is an iPhone app that plays the missing part of your band (bass, guitar, keys or voice). It is published by LSTG Move Ltee (Company Registration No. C24209627, Moka, Mauritius; "we").

In short

Steve works on your phone. To use it you create an account with your email address; that is all we keep about you. There is no advertising and no tracking, and we do not measure how you use the app. We do not sell or share your personal data.

Your account

To sign in, Steve asks for your email address and emails you a 6-digit code (no password). Our server keeps your email address and the dates you signed up and last signed in, to run your account and your subscription and to write to you about Steve. The code is stored scrambled and expires after a few minutes. Your network address is used for a moment to block abuse and is not stored. The emails are sent through Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES), only to deliver the code.

The microphone

When a song is on stage, Steve listens to your band through the microphone to follow the tempo and the stops. The sound is analysed on the phone as it comes in and is not sent anywhere. Nothing is recorded unless you switch on "Keep recordings" in the settings; recordings then stay on your phone, in Files › Steve › Recordings, until you delete them.

Your songs

The audio files you import are copied into Steve's storage on your phone, together with what Steve learns from them (beats, tempo, notes). They are never uploaded. Only import music you have the right to use.

Purchases

The subscription is sold and managed by Apple. We never see your payment details: Apple only tells the app whether your subscription is active. To keep track of subscriptions we use RevenueCat, which receives your account number, your email address and Apple's record of your purchases, and shows us overall subscription figures (how many people subscribe, renew or cancel). You can cancel the subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings.

Logs

Steve writes small technical logs (what it heard and decided, never sound) on your phone, in Files › Steve › Logs, to help fix problems. They stay on your phone unless you choose to send them to us.

Deleting your account

Settings › Delete my account deletes your account from our server at once, and removes your songs, setlists, recordings, logs and settings from the phone. Deleting the app removes what is on the phone, but not your account. Neither cancels the subscription: do that in your Apple ID settings. To also have your record removed from RevenueCat, write to us.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to its use: write to contact@lstgmove.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority.

Children

Steve is not directed at children under 13.
